Just plain, upfront pricing guaranteed.  For your convenience, you make  all** of your selections in the comfort of our in-house Design Center. That's right, no more running all over town, or dealing with "allowances".

What's Included in our Bright Move Package?

Mark Winter Homes has tried to simplify and make the building process an easy and enjoyable experience. After all, building a new home should be one of the most exciting events in your life, not the most stressful. Our Bright Move Package homes include the following:

  • The Home Plan of your choice
  • A Home Site chosen from one of our wonderful communities
  • All items identified in our Specifications List for your specific home plan including features like Air Conditioning (13 Seer), 6-panel doors, a radon reduction system, and an Energy Star certified home, things other builders charge extra for.

  • Turn Key Financing (you pay at closing, no construction loans)

The Building Process

Finalizing the features and various options in your new home is an exciting and important part of the planning process. If your home has been purchased during construction, the "window of opportunity" for certain selections may already have passed. However, we will do our best to accommodate any special requests or preferences. We will inform you of which selections can still be personalized and any deadlines relating to those choices.

If your home is purchased before construction or during the early phases of construction, you will have two selection sessions in our Design Center. The first session will include exterior finishes and any critical features that affect the framing or mechanical systems of the home. (A physical on-site walk through of the home will also be done with the owner prior to mechanical rough-ins for placement of such items as phone jacks and cable outlets.) At the second session we will determine post-plaster options such as flooring, cabinets, countertops, lighting, and hardware. Our customer service manager will keep you advised of what must be decided and assist you in meeting these deadlines.

The construction of a new home is a complex process that requires the careful coordination of many different trades and skills. To many homebuyers, the process is somewhat confusing, involving periods of intense activity followed by periods of inactivity. However, it is all part of a thoughtfully orchestrated construction schedule. We will make arrangements for you to review your new home in detail at certain key points in the process and have any questions answered at that time.

Upon completion of your home, a thorough inspection is conducted (our customer service manager breaks out the white gloves and fine-toothed comb!) Any final touch-ups and minor repairs are then done. We aren't satisfied until your home meets our "100% completion" goal. Now your new home is ready for your final approval. A walk-through with you, the homeowner, will be done with our customer service manager. At this time we will present you with a complete "Homeowners Manual" containing such information as emergency phone numbers, your list of color and brand selections, Warranty Service Program guidelines, your Home Warranty, and a Maintenance Guide for your new home. At Mark Winter Homes we are just as concerned with our service to you after the move-in. We know our reputation depends on it!

Builders often price their homes with the phrase "base price plus lot improvements". The base price is based on specifications and allowances. The "lot improvements" and "allowances" can add significant cost to your home.
